  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) of red wine (optional).
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme.
  • 1 teaspoon of rosemary. 
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper.

1. Preparing the Beef: - 

Start by using paper towels to pat the beef chuck roast dry. On all sides, liberally sprinkle it with salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a big skillet or Dutch oven. The meat should be fried until it forms a gorgeous brown crust on both sides. By doing so, the juices are preserved and the flavor of the final result is improved.
